Yarmouth Clam Festival...baby style!

We got together with the Churchills and went to Yarmouth for the Clam Festival. I had never been before and really wanted to go. (surprisingly, there was a lack of clams at the Clam Festival...weird.) Hannah rode in Reid's stroller and Reid rode in a pack on Daddy. We walked around to see the artisans and had a little food. We ended the day by finding a grassy spot to stretch out and change diapers.

Hannah puts EVERYTHING in her mouth now.

She wanted to get at Reid so badly. The look on his face was priceless! She eventually got to him and tried to tear off his face...her visits are always supervised.

Kevin came over to replace our front door and put gutters on the house.

Our new door has "side-lights" all the way to the floor and more windows on the main door (as you can see). We painted all the doors this Salem Red (Old Village paint) color. The house looks so great! The painters tape is still on in these pictures...we didn't do blue stripes around the windows. The foyer and livingroom are so much brighter now! We LOVE it! Socrates can now just walk up and look out the window...it is really funny!

Our Big Boy!

Reid is now officially out of his "newborn" sizes. He is in most of the 0-3 month outfits. He has so many cute things to wear for summer but some of them are so big...he might not get into them! Who thought Jeff and I would have such a tiny baby!?!

We are trying out the crib for naps now and then to get him used to it. He has lasted 1 1/2 hours at a time! He is still in the co-sleeper next to our bed at night and does so well! We are still getting 2-6 hour stretches.

I stuck Reid in his pack while I did my Walking workout DVD. He fell asleep right away and slept through it all! I think I am going to keep these last 15 pounds longer than I hoped! It comes of so slow!

Reid loves his hat and I love it on him! What a doll.

He is growing up!

Reid is beginning to show us his personality. I think he may have Auntie Selena's temper! When Reid wants something he wants it NNNOWWWWW! He also thinks his Daddy is the biggest toy he has. Daddy is all fun and Mommy is like a service station..."Change it and fill up the tank please."

Reid has officially out-grown his first pair of pajamas! It was fairly sad to see that he is growing up so fast!

Reid Rocks!

Nolan loves to play with Reid. He was trying to tickle him.

This outfit is from Auntie Kathy and Uncle Mike...Reid obviously LOVES this outfit!

I love this picture of Reid. He is just too precious!

Reid plays with his first toy!

We've been placing Reid under his interactive Farm toy. He's finally figured out that there's stuff hanging above him.

He also starting hitting the things with his arms as they randomly swing about.

Aarghhh, the cow plays songs!

If only I knew that my brain controls my arms, I'd be able to hit these things whenever I wanted.

Are you guys seeing me do this?

Doctor Visit Updates...Skinny Little Baby

Jeff and I took Reid to his second "Well Baby" doctor appointment last Thursday. Reid was 6 weeks old. He is now 22 inches which puts him in the 35th percentile (35% of kids are shorter than him, 65% are longer), his head puts him in the 10th% (little headed boy), and his weight at 9lbs. puts him in the 7th%...skinny little guy. Dr. Mansfield wasn't overly concerned about his weight but did talk to me about feeding him more and pumping more. Is that even possible?? He eats all the time as it is! Reid is not underweight until the 5th% but this is too close for Jeff and I. We are now giving him at least one bottle of formula a day and also putting rice cereal in his bottles. Yesterday afternoon I mixed up some cereal in a bowl and made it pretty runny. Reid ate it with a spoon. He did very well. I am sure we are breaking all kinds of "new baby" rules here but his is hungry and we need to get his weight up. If it doesn't come up with his next visit, we are going to go to mostly formula and supplement with breast milk for the antibodies. My milk is just not fatty enough or something. Dumb boobies!
Who ever thought Jeff and I would have a short, skinny baby?

Aren't these pictures of Reidy napping the best?!?! He is just so content. I staged this one with the monkey. He is not quite able to choose his own snuggle toys yet.

The Many Faces of Reid Alan DeJongh

Reid is saying "Oh My...My hair is so crazy!"

This is the face I make when I stand up like a big boy.

This is my everyday face...aren't I cute!?!

"Hey waiter! Can I get some mommy milk over here?"

This is my hat....It may fit my little cranium some day.

Fourth of July Fun!

The Churchill's joined us for a night of rainy fireworks after a BBQ at their house. Hannah LOVED the fireworks and never batted an eye at the loud bangs.

Daddy and Reid stayed in the car to watch the show. We aren't sure if he was really looking at the fireworks or not but he had fun with Daddy just the same.

Playing and going out to eat

Reid got to spend time with Memere at Gippers restaurant a couple of a weeks ago. Nolan and Hannah were there too.

We play with Reid in the morning. He's starting to smile a lot and even laughs sometimes.

Reid likes to stand up now (with help of course). Each day he is stronger and better able to hold his own weight!
