Grandma and Grandpa are here

To all of you who check the blog and haven't seen anything recently, I apologize! My parents have been here since Saturday afternoon and we've all had a great time!!! Here are a few highlights.
Jessica got a few presents from Aunt Kathy. Is this the lunchbox basket or the Reid Basket?
Grandpa and Grandma both got many chances to hold Reid. He really enjoyed seeing them!!!

Reid has started smiling at us and talking to us. I think he waited until this week to show off to his grandparents.
We went to Reid State Park this week. It was sunny so we all needed our sunglasses!
It's been a great week and these pictures will help us remember the fun with Grandpa and Grandma!! We are already getting ready for our trip to Michigan for Christmas this year.

Summer Vacation Starts!

Here is Reid getting ready to go out in the sun. What he didn't realize is that his car seat has a canopy.

This is Reid's reaction when I told his mommy that I was going to take him paddling the next day. I guess even he thinks it's a bad idea!

We all went to our friend Mark's 40th birthday party. It got cool before we left and Reid got all bundled up. He had a good time and it looking foward to having a grilled bottle on Mark's new grill:)

Happy Tuesday!

Reid likes to sit and look at his crazy parents while they entertain themselves with cooing at the baby. His facial expressions keep us laughing.

Mommy tries so hard to not fall asleep before 8pm but some days are harder than others.

Daddy sings to Reid to keep him entertained while Mommy takes a few moments to herself. Jeff is able to keep this baby happy with his silly songs.

Nolan got bit on the eye lid by a black fly...poor pumpkin!

3 Weeks Old Today!

It is hard to imagine that our little Reid is already 3 weeks old! Time goes by so quickly. This morning we got up and went to school (Durham) to get things prepared for the end of the school year. I needed to get my report cards finalized. Jeff entertained Reid (when he wasn't eating) and I scurried to get things done.

Reid and I visited Great-Grampa Couture on Thursday for a little bit. Grampa is so proud of Reid! Later that evening, we went to Memere and Pepere Breton's house for dinner. Hannah and Nolan were both visiting with their families. There were grand-babies everywhere!

On Wednesday I went to Auburn to lead my Weight Watchers meeting. It was SO HARD to leave Reid behind! Jeff got Daddy time and had a visit from the DosSantos family so he had some relief. I called and called again to check in and make sure everyone was fine. My apron strings don't stretch very far.

Jeff and I have officially decided that Reid is not only a baby, but a 20 inch EATING MACHINE! He will breast feed for about 40 minutes, fall asleep then wake up to eat more in about 20 minutes. We will occassionally give him 2-4 ounces of formula to fill his belly when the booby-tap is dry. This usually gets him to sleep for a few hours (lovely) then he will wake up and want to eat, eat, eat. We are hoping that it is because he is growing. We haven't checked his weight in a while but he feels heavier.

First Big Boy Clothes

Today Jessica and Reid came to have lunch with me and bring whoopie pies as thanks for the gift from the staff.
As you can see Reid is wearing a great outfit that makes him look even more mature; like 18 or 19 days old.

When I got home Jessica wanted to mow the lawn so I got Reid duty. It was very difficult!
As you can see he is very comfortable.

A little later we put him down so we could get dinner ready. He seems to like his new clothes!

Two weeks old!

It's been a week since the last posting. Jessica and Reid have had a great week together while I've been at work. They had friends from St. Joseph's School stop by on Tuesday. Both Trish and Kathleen Forgarty thought Reid was okay.

Jess had time to take Reid to his first visit with the pediatrician. Reid is doing very well! So well, he peed in the doctor.

I would get home in the afternoon about the time Reid was finished feeding. I would get to hold him for a while. At least once we both fell asleep. Great nap!!!

Reid is alert safter eating. Somtimes he works on his modeling looks.
For those who know the movie "Zoolander" this is Magnum

Reid is also working on his acting. Here he's working on his part in the movie "Winston Churchill"

Sometimes Reid is surprised he's already 2 weeks old!
