Central Cleaning Has Arrived!!

New Wood Livingroom Floor! Thank you!

Today, Jeff had to go to school for teacher workshop stuff. I had an appointment for a state car inspection at 8am (it passed...phew) then "the guy" was coming at 9:30 to install our central cleaning system.

Well, the system is installed and I have been sucking up stuff all day long! It is so much fun to use! The cats are afraid of it. I think they know that I could use it to get rid of their loose cat fur! Hmmmm...

I haven't taken any pictures of the system, yet. Maybe I will save that for this years Christmas card. If you want to check it out, you can go to www.beam.com to see what it is. Warning: You will want it for your house too!

THUMB UPDATE: Jeff's thumb is doing well. He needs to take an antibiotic for 2 weeks or so. He has pain meds also but doesn't seem to need them much. The pain is, surprisingly, not too bad since it looks discustingly painful. Hamburg anyone?

Jeff's Accident.....Oh Dear!

Jeff, Jeff, Jeff

Jeff was using his table saw to cut some wood and accidentally cut his thumb. A trip to the emergency room provided three hours of entertainment, 6 stitches, and two perscriptions. He did not cut into the bone, thank goodness, but the blade was thick enough to do some damage. The doctor could only stitch it together somewhat. It will need to grow together itself over time. Poor Honey!

Ox-Roast Festivities

Frank Reeser and his family really took the reins for the Ox-Roast this year and spent all Friday night watching and tending the roast. What a Family! The parade was a lot of fun. Neil, Linda, Jeff, Teddy and I sat out on the front lawn to enjoy the show. Later, the DeVries and Postmas joined us for dinner and a few rounds of Jarts (very dangerous lawn dart game from the 70's). A GREAT time was had by all...especially me!

Northern Michigan Honeymoon(ish)

Jeff and I had a wonderful two days in Marquette. A rocky start with Jeff loosing his wallet somewhere along the 8 hour drive north, turned into a PERFECT honeymoon vacation. We returned to Clarksville two days later for the annual Ox-Roast.

Michigan Reception - August 5, 2006

Family, again, came from near and far to celebrate our marriage. We are beginning to think that people like us!

The "coastal cake" was so lovely that we didn't want to cut into it! The shells were made from sugar....NEAT!

Mom and Dad rented a tent for the reception and had it catered. Everything was delicious and beautiful!
