Silly hat day

It was silly hat day at the DeJongh household. Reid got the better hat, but Daddy's getting even by taking his binky!

Reid decided to really show how cool he was; having the better hat and all, by putting on his cool shades from Auntie Julie.

Reid thought the hat wasn't the look he was truly going for. The sunglasses and the bink in the corner of his mouth give him that ultra-hip look he's cultivating.

Snow Banks in Maine

We have been on vaction this week and were able to enjoy several nice days!

Reid is walking through our front snowbank canyon. It's about 3 feet deep.

Because of the freeze/thaw cycles we've had the snow bank are dense enough to walk on!

Mommy and Reid are posing in the spot Daddy fell on the ice. The amazing thing is that Reid was not dropped and Daddy didn't get hurt! It may not be clear, but the snowbank behind Reid is about 5 feet high because of the amount of snow blown in this area.

Outside Adventure #2 and Superbowl

This is one of Reid's favorite toys, although we are not sure why! It is a wooden chicken craft that I have had for a while. He saw it in the kitchen one day and went bazzerker (not a word but it describes a lot of his actions). Now every time he sees it, he has to play with it. What a nut!

Superbowl Sunday! After Noah's first birthday party (Reid's daycare buddy) we went to watch the Patriots lose in Wayne, Maine at the Fylstra residence. Reid was sporting his Pats gear and his chewy football from the original Reid (the kid who we got his name from).

Reid played outside for about 5 minutes one day. He liked it enough but didn't want to be put down in the snow for too long. He likes to be outside though. Too cute!

Here is he standing up "big boy" in the snowbank out front of the house. He looks thrilled, huh?

The Two Teeth

This isn't the best picture of Reid but you can really see his two teeth. He is VERY proud of them and likes to show them off by biting fingers and arms. He is now eating (just about) any food and uses his teeth quite well. Yesterday (Feb 12th) he shared a Saltine cracker with Mommy and kept biting off chunks with those two bottom teeth. It was fun to see him using them. Now I don't have to break up the cracker into bits and make a HUGE mess.
Reid is also using a sippy cup like a CHAMPION! He loves to drink like a big boy. He also does very well with a regular cup but we have to help him or he dumps it all over himself.
He is also "all set" with jarred baby food. I think it is just too bland and runny for him. He loves toast, biter biscuits, Cheerios, vegetables, and Mommy's homemade chicken noodle soup. So far, he doesn't seem to care for meat that much but we have been sneaking it into his dishes. I pureed some ground turkey and chicken to add to his food and he seems to like that.

Reid plays outside

Doesn't Reid look like he's loving his new snow suit?

Reid was really happy when he notices that his snow suit matches his mommie's coat!

You can hardly see him, but Reid is in the sled I'm pulling.

Reid likes being in the sled so long as I'm moving. Maybe he's helping me get exercise; you know, my tiny little personal trainer.

Alyssa Mae Breton Update

Alyssa Mae Breton...Another gorgeous addition to the family!

Diaper Head

Reid loves to empty is diaper bin. Jeff put a diaper on his head and he played with it on for quite a while.

Close up of little Diaper Head. He looks like George Washington.

This is Reid after his big haircut. He is so cute!

Reid has haircut #3!

We went to Family Fun Cuts in Augusta for Reid's first "professional" cut. He was so good! Here he is pre-cut. You can see he was due.

How cute is this face?! I think he was wondering what was buzzing in his ear. What a sweetie!

Here he is, all trimmed up. It is wet in this picture so it looks a little dorky. He looks all grown up now.
