Christmas in Maine - 2006

Jeff and I opened MANY gifts from Michigan and loved them all. Jeff got a Dr. Suess book with some of his favorite Suess stories. I read them all to the baby that morning. He also got a rubber chicken from Kristi that "lays an egg" when you squeeze it's belly....complete with yolk! It is gross and funny at the same time. We got a lot of great gifts for the baby so it makes us even more anxious to get the nursery set up.

Our ultrasound appointment in Portland is scheduled for Thursday, January 11th at 1pm. If the baby is cooperating, we should be able to find out if it is a girl or boy! Our names so far are: Kayla Anne or Reid Alan.
Jeff likes both names but came up with some of his own that I quickly rejected: Bertneilious Glorinda or Glorinda Bertneilious
He is too funny!

Matching Pajamas!

Christmas Time

Nolan and Hannah wore their matching Christmas pajamas on Christmas morning. We needed to take some quick photos because Nolan wanted to "kiss" Hannah. They were so cute together!

Jeff made me this beautiful jelly cupboard. He did it all without me knowing. I was so surprised I cried a little.

We took our picture in front of the tree on Christmas eve. My pregnant belly is getting bigger but is still not very big yet. I am definately not wearing my regular pants anymore but still just look plump instead of pregnant.

Hannah Jane is Here and Nolan can crawl!

Hannah Jane Churchill was born on Wednesday, December 6 at 9:20pm. She weighs 7lbs. 10oz. and is 19 inches in length. She is the most beautiful little baby girl! She loves to suck her thumb and have her cheeks touched. She is too sweet!

Nolan is now crawling and loves his new independence. He loves to "talk" and play with us. He is getting so big! What a cutie!

Making the Crib

I've been working on the rib after Jessica and I agreed upon a design for the crib. I've been hanging onto some thick cut ash boards. They are about 2" thick and from 10-13" wide and around 10' long. They are planks more than boards. I have been able to resaw the wood into identical matching frame pieces. Follow the link to a web page to see my progess.

The Heartbeat is Good!

Jeff and I had our second prenatal appointment today and got to hear the heartbeat! It was strong and quick! We are now 11 weeks and 1 day. The baby is the size of a lemon and growing fast.

I have gained 1 pound and feel great. I had strep throat all weekend but am feeling better. Pregnancy is not as bad as I thought it would be! Some people said I would be VERY TIRED and extremely sick but so far so good.

Hannah Jane is on the way!

Selena and Matt are counting the days until Hannah Jane arrives. Selena has finally began to show more than her husband Matt! ha ha!

Selena and I stood together for this picture...could I really get that big!!??? Right now we are 12 weeks along and our appointment to see the midwife and hear the heartbeat is tomorrow! We can't wait!

We're Having a Baby!

Jeff and I are expecting a baby in June!! YAHOO!
