January Bliss

Reid helped me make some pumpkin muffins...I think he liked the batter!

Reid and Alyssa played their own version of Guitar Hero Band. They were really good.

The kids sat down for a little dinner. You may notice that Reid seems to have really enjoyed his pasta...

Reid got ahold of the mascara...I guess he knows where it goes!

Jeff took Reid out on the lake for a ride in the sled. It was a nice day but Reidy had rosy red cheeks.

Reid helps his daddy fix up one of the dining room chairs. He was a pro with the cabinet scraper!

Christmas in Clarksville, Continued

The family went to Logan's on the 30th for dinner. It was also a surprise dinner for my birthday! Reid munched on anything he could find on the table and dipped it in bluecheese dressing.

As you can see in this picture, Reid is probably sitting at the end of the table, hamming it up for everyone to see.

Ryan and Tyler lift up the littl'est cousin for a picture. He wasn't too sure at first but then joined in the fun.

Reid and "Papa" snuggled in Grandpa's chair for a snack. Reid spent a lot of time in Grandma and Grandpa's arms during the visit.

We met up with some friends for dinner and to catch up. Stephen and Gail have a small dog and Reid asked for the dog to come out of the kennel. We let he out, thinking that Reid wanted to play with her....um, he just wanted to get in her kennel. What a crazy kid!

Daddy and Reid took a nice picture on Christmas morning. Reid dressed up in his Dapper Dan wear.

Christmas in Clarksville

On the 26th, we loaded up the van and headed to Michigan for a Christmas celebration. Kristi flew in from CO. We arrived at 3am the next day. Reid had an easy ride, without much fuss and so did Jeff and I. We hit some fog in Ohio and it slowed us down a bit but we arrived safe and sound.
The school behind the house has a new playground so we took Reid over to play for a bit. He was a bit nervous about the height but had fun.

We spent Sunday together with the whole family. The Postmas got Reid some blocks so we spent a lot of time building walls for Reid to knock down. Kathy and Mike got him a guitar that plays music, counts, and has animal sounds. I am still trying to get Reid to hold it like a real guitar but he seems to like to just have it in his lap. Mom and Dad got Reid a few DVD's that came in so handy on the way home. He watched his VeggieTales video about 4 times! The portable DVD player was a life saver!

Between opening gifts and laughing together, Reid spent some time getting to know Murph-Murph. Reid really wanted to love him up but Murph wasn't so sure about him. Reid is small, unpredictable and FAST!

December Catch Up

Reid and Nolan cruise for chicks at Hannah's birthday party. Note Reid's Mardi Gras beads...

At the Christmas party in Hartford, Reid enjoyed helping Pepere clean up wrapping paper almost as much as getting gifts.

Needless to say, Reid LOVED his car from Auntie Becky.

Reid enjoyed a few minutes outside in the fresh snow. He wasn't too sure about walking around the yard...come to find out, he had stashed one of my lipsticks in his boots and I didn't know it was in there. Poor kid! We wondered what was wrong!

Reid enjoyed using his little "beep beep" car as a snowmobile.

Come on; does this picture even NEED a caption?!?

More Reidy

Reid and Daddy go for a spin on Reid's airplane. Reid loves to cruise around on this plane on his own but he really gets a kick out of Daddy riding on it too.

This is Reid after a day of eating turkey. He was exhausted and ready for a nap. We think he looked a little like Uncle Kevin and Uncle Matt after watching a football game.

Reid and Nolan wore their Native American head dresses at Memere's Thanksgiving dinner. Reid seems to have lost his pants for a short while...probably getting into character.

Reidy's World

Reid hams it up while Memere gets some Thanksgiving things done. He was quite helpful.

Pepere gives Hannah a horsey ride around the living room. Collin plays on the floor with his daddy.

Reid got to visit his Durham family, the Smith's. Julia and Amber were so happy to see him and he was THRILLED to be there, too. They played outside and took turns it the stroller. Reid loves those girls.

Fun in November

Reid came to Durham School with me to see the kids and my ex-coworkers. They were having a Thanksgiving feast in the gymnasium. Reid sat down with the kids for some popcorn and watermelon. Reid ate 5 pieces of watermelon. He smiled for his friend Karleigh.

Four of the five grandbabies play on the couch in Hartford. They made a "Reid Sandwich" until he screamed in mercy. Oh, the love!

New Chair...Reid Sized

Jeff made Reid this adorable Morris chair. He had plans for a full sized chair and halved the measurements for Reid's. We are currently using pillows until we make the cushions. Reid is so cute sitting in it and he likes it a lot. Jeff painted it a country blue and distressed it a bit to fit in with the other decor. VERY CUTE! He is so talented! (jeff is too)

Reid had been wearing my shoes and walking around the house in them. This is one of the new games. You can also see that our rule about sitting whenever we eat has gone to the wayside a bit. He is just more active than he is hungry so we compromised to get him to eat more.

Reid has a bunch of ducks that light up when you rub the bottom of them. He got one of his blocks and said, "sit, sit, ducks lights" and sat down on the block to play with them. He then got up and got blocks for Jeff and I to "sit, sit" too. He makes us laugh every day. His newest word/concept is "thank you". He says it when we give him something, often without prompting. He also has a future in being the Wal-Mart greeter. When we are in a store, he says hi to everyone we pass by...paired with a HUGE smile. He always seems to be working the crowd. Future President maybe?
